EUIPO: Trademark Application

On this page, you will learn how to apply for a trademark registration in EUIPO. You need to have an account EUIPO first before you can apply for a trademark. 


1. Go to the EUIPO login page and sign-in https://euipo.europa.eu/ohimportal/en/web/guest/login



2.  On your dashboard, click Online services > File a trade mark using our EUTM Filing form



3. Click File a New Trademark

4. You need to select the first and second language as these are mandatory fields

5. After selecting your preferred languages, you can now select the type of trademark that you want to register. Common types of trademarks are Word mark and Figurative mark. A word mark is just a plain text. If your trademark is only a word mark, just enter the name and click save. A figurative mark is a combination of word and image/s (logo). If your trademark is a figurative mark, you need to enter the text and upload your image/logo file (JPEG, max 2 MB, maximum image size 2 835 x 2 010 pixels, printing resolution 96 to 300 DPI)

6. You can now start selecting your goods or services by clicking Search Terms for Harmonised Database. Click Review Your List once you're done then click Save.


7. Next is to create the applicant's details. Click Create New Applicant and enter the details. Once done, click +Add Applicant



8. Review all the details and once done, check "I understand and accept" and enter in the signature field your first name and surname.



9. Click the "Go to Payment" button and pay the application.
